Contemporary acrylic wine art on a 24"x 24" canvas
Raining outside, cold, sitting by the fire, classical music and wine, I started to compose my thought on a new painting.
With a glass of fine wine in one hand and a brush in the other, this was my inspiration for me to paint a wine bottle still life.
I still love the old style, yet wanted a little contemporary feeling in my art. I used a trowel and molding paste over the canvas, to give the look of an old Tuscan building wall. I slowly layered the colors with paint and used a wet rag to move and blend it around.
The direction of the light in the painting gave my painting dimension.
