Thinking about my upcoming vacation, just can’t wait, so getting a little inspired was fun to paint this.
I had an artist friend suggest that I use a mixing glaze with my acrylics and wow what a big difference.
So much easier to move the paint around without it drying so quickly on me. I feel I still have a long way to go on this medium, so I have lots of small practice paintings that I should sell so I can buy more small canvases to keep up my practice. It has been fun for sure.
Acrylic painting is so much fun, though I’m still trying to get used to the medium as I’m a watercolor painter. Acrylic just gets me in the mood to paint a little more and get out of my rut with watercolor. Now that fall is in the air, I think I will start to dabble a little more in watercolor.
So I thank the medium for getting me back to my studio and in touch with painting again….
