THE PAINTERS JOY IN THE 12x12 CANVAS

I started painting oil when I was 19, then as years went by, I took up watercolor.... I loved the challenge of watercolor, and the medium is my favorite of all.
Then one day I just needed a break from the stress of painting a watercolor paintings, so I started to dabble in acrylic... Wow...!!! Definitely not the stress of watercolor painting. I had so much fun with the medium and found out that the 12 x12 canvases were quick and a joy to paint. I started to paint them for the gallery where I lived. I sold the painting before it was even hung up on the wall in the gallery, so I painted another one to replace the one I sold, and that one sold two days later.
I think with the tough economy, art lovers like to have a small original without having to pay for framed art in a gallery.
I ordered a case of the 12 x 12 canvases that are 1-1/2 inch width on the sides. They are museum quality with a tuck and roll, so there are no staples that show on the canvas. These look good on the wall without a frame and well worth the extra cost of a better canvas.
I just ordered a case of the 8x8 canvases so I will see, just what I can do on these for fun.... This will be another chapter on my 8x8 canvases to post....
